Mumble Voice Comes to Event Ops: One-Click Ship Channels for Your Fleet

SCORG's Event Ops now provisions per-ship Mumble voice channels automatically when you start an event. Coordinators set the lineup, players join their ship…

Comms are the backbone of any serious operation. Today we're rolling out a major upgrade to Event Ops: SCORG now runs on its own dedicated Mumble voice server, and it builds your op's voice channels for you.

No more herding pilots into the right room or copying channel links into chat. Set your lineup, hit start, and every ship gets its own channel — automatically.

How It Works:

When you run an event on Mumble, SCORG's voice bot mirrors your roster directly into the comms tree. Build your fleet, assign crews to ships, start the event, and the bot instantly creates a channel for each ship under a clean hierarchy:

SCORG / / /

Crews land exactly where they belong — wingmates together, turret gunners with their pilot, fleet leads with their formation. When the op ends, the channels self-destruct, keeping the server tidy for the next operation.

For Coordinators:

Running a Mumble op takes just a few steps:

Open Event Ops (Operations → Event Ops) and select your event Build your roster: add fleets, assign "Going" members to ship seats, and nest ships under their formation lead In Voice & live ops, set the voice provider to Mumble Click Start event — within seconds, every ship has a channel When the op wraps, click End event to tear the channels down Prefer Discord for a casual flight? No problem — leave the provider on Discord and nothing changes. Mumble is there when you need dedicated, low-latency comms for strategic ops.

For Players:

Joining your ship's channel is one click:

Install the free Mumble desktop app (one-time setup) RSVP Going to the event so you get a seat on the roster Once the coordinator starts the op, open Event Ops and hit Join voice (Mumble) The Mumble app opens and drops you straight into your ship's channel First connection only: you'll accept the server certificate and pick a username. After that, it's one click every time.

Need a Hand?

We've added a "How voice works" button right on the Event Ops page, plus dedicated guides in the Help Center for both coordinators and players. Everything you need to get your fleet on comms is a click away.

Clear skies and full comms, pilots. We'll see you in the black.
